Siblings, 6 year old Amaleah and 5-year-old Iliyas live with their parents Dora and Tamim. Amaleah loves playing with her toys and Barbie dolls and Iliyas is always on the go and loves spinning and exploring his environment. Both children have Level 3-Non Verbal Autism and are easily overwhelmed by sensory experiences.

As they are both growing and getting older, they have outgrown their standard stroller and require one that could accommodate their needs. To get out of the house and access the community, their mother would need to book formal supports weeks in advance, which limited the time they could leave their home. Through the generous support of our donors, Variety has been able to help the family by granting a tandem disability stroller.

We recently heard from Dora and Tamin who shared how the family are finding their new stroller. We love hearing these updates from our Variety families and seeing how the Variety grant has changed their lives.
