We are honoured to announce that His Majesty, King Charles III, has graciously reconfirmed His Patronage of Variety, the Children’s Charity following his accession.
Variety was established in Australia in 1975 with HRH Prince Charles, Prince of Wales as our founding Patron, his first Australian patronage.
As we approach our 50th anniversary in Australia, His Majesty’s continued patronage adds immense significance to our cause.
Variety WA, Chief Executive Officer, Chris Chatterton, welcomed the news: “I am fortunate enough to have met the King on a number of occasions and I have seen first-hand his dedication to numerous social and environmental issues.
“For more than half a century His Majesty has consistently demonstrated his commitment to improving the lives of young people and we at Variety are so thrilled to retain his patronage.” He said.
In Australia, Variety the Children’s Charity has raised more than $700 million since 1975 and positively impacted the lives of more than one million children. Variety provides essential support to children who are sick, experiencing disadvantage or living with disability.
Over the past decade alone we have granted more than $110 million directly to children, schools, hospitals and community organisations in the form of equipment, grants, programs, scholarships and experiences that have significantly impacted the lives of children in need.
With His Majesty’s distinguished patronage, we aspire to further extend our reach and impact.
We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported Variety, the Children’s Charity past and present. This continued recognition by His Majesty The King is a testament to your dedication, generosity, and love.
To all our supporters, we say a heartfelt ‘Thank You’.
