Help us spread JOY this Christmas! 

Our Port Melbourne warehouse holds a wide range of toys, games, sporting equipment, craft and books that have been generously donated. With your help, we will be able to sort, pack and deliver ‘Variety Christmas Joy Packs’ for children and families doing it extra tough this Christmas… because after all, we couldn’t do what we do, without people like you!

What we need

1. 25x volunteers to assist in the Variety Warehouse to help pack Variety Joy Packs
When: 9am – 3pm, Thursday 10 December
Location: Variety Vic Office, H71, 63-85 Turner Street, Port Melbourne VIC

2. 20x volunteers to deliver Variety Joy Packs
We’re after 4x groups of 5 to cover set locations, so round up your helpers and get delivering!
When: deliveries to take place between Monday 14 December and Sunday 20 December.  

STRICT COVID-SAFE RULES APPLY

All volunteers must follow strict COVID-safe procedures both in our Variety office and when out on the road delivering Joy Packs. All deliveries MUST be completely contactless. We also have strict limitations on volunteering capacities at the moment. Apply ASAP to avoid missing out.

NEW PROCESS – MANDATORY WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECKS (WWCC)

A Working with Children’s Check is mandatory for this event, and you will not be able to apply without one. All volunteers participating will be required to sign and return a copy of our Child Safe Code of Conduct before undertaking the role. Volunteer WWCC are free, if you do not already have one, we strongly recommend completing an application on the Vic gov website. Please note, we cannot use Australia Post receipts as WWCC confirmation. You must have a valid application approval letter from the Department of Justice and/or a valid WWCC permit.
