Meet Kai

7-year-old Kai loves riding his bike and exploring the outdoors. Kai lives with many challenges in life – including epilepsy, autism spectrum disorder and learning difficulties – Kai has low muscle tone in his legs and finds walking difficult at times.

When Kai’s occupational therapist saw Kai enjoying riding the balance bike at his school, she recommended that regular riding would enhance Kai’s muscle tone and improve his overall mobility.

In 2022, Variety granted Kai his very own Strider 18” Sport Youth Balance Bike, allowing him to develop his muscle strength, participate in outdoor activities, keep up with his family, and become more involved with the local community.

Kai’s mother, Hannah, says the bike has really helped him to become more active.
