Variety Tasmania is fortunate to have been nominated by event coordinator Collins SBA as the Charity of Choice for the Mt.Wellington Challenge. Held annually for the last 13 years, the Mt. Wellington Challenge comprises a spectacular cycling time trial, covering a distance of 21.3km, an ascent of 1,167m and is often referred to as ‘Australia’s Toughest Time Trial.’
For many riders it is not about being crowned King or Queen of the Mountain, but simply about testing themselves or attempting to beat personal bests from previous attempts at tackling the climb.
Dates for next year’s event will be confirmed shortly, so please contact us at Variety Tasmania on 03 6248 4888 or email us at [email protected] to register your interest.
Each year many of our fantastic supporters take to their pedals for the Variety Tasmania Cycle. This is a great way to join with friends and family and enjoy some fresh air in the wonderful countryside around Richmond. There are three distances to choose from:
- 30kms for riders who average a speed of 20 kilometres per hour.
- 60kms for riders who average a speed of 20-25 kilometres per hour.
- 100kms for those who average a speed of 25-30 kilometres per hour.
The 2017 Variety Tasmania Cycle will also be announced shortly so please contact us at Variety Tasmania on 03 6248 4888 or email us at [email protected] to register your interest.
