Variety Tasmania takes its mission of empowering children who fall through the gaps seriously and genuinely.
Our goal is to reach more children effectively and sustainably through different channels, including working with other like-minded organisations dedicated to serving the same cohort of children we exist to support.
As such we are forging new and exciting partnerships with different Tasmanian community organisations.
Riding for the Disabled Association Tasmania
Riding for the Disabled Association Tasmania is a volunteer run, not-for-profit organisation focused on providing equestrian activities to people with a disability.
Variety Tasmania and the RDA have created the Variety RDA Tasmania Scholarship to provide support funding for children with disabilities, who qualify for RDA programs but are ineligible or underfunded under the NDIS through no fault of their own.
This Scholarship will help fund a minimum of 250 riding sessions.
Tassie Mums
Tassie Mums is a not-for-profit, volunteer-based group that is passionate about providing essential items to babies and children in need.
They collect donations of new and pre-loved baby and children’s clothing and other small items through donation bins located around the state.
The Community Partnership with Tassie Mums will allow them to increase their operating hours in order to reach an additional 200 children across the state.

Starfish Nippers Start-up Kits
Variety Tasmania has partnered with Surf Life Saving Tasmania to roll out a pilot Starfish Nippers Program in 4 different regions across the state.
The aim of the program is to provide equipment to the clubs to be able to offer a minimum of 100 children living with a disability and their siblings access to a Starfish Nippers this summer.
