Fun in the sun at the Adelaide Zoo for the Variety Kids Picnic (May 2022)
Variety SA hosted another picnic at Adelaide Zoo for a thousand kids who are sick, disadvantaged or living with disability, attracting many who cherish this opportunity to get out into the community.
Kids in attendance were entertained by various mascots, including Variety Sheridan Bear and all of the resident zoo animals. Thanks to magician, Mickster the Trickster for putting on a show.
Special thank you to our long-time supporters Woolworths for generously donating snack packs for each child.
This Picnic would not be possible without the dedicated volunteers and our generous supporters: Cochrane’s Transport, Rotary Club of Unley and Rotary Club of Campbelltown , Northland Distributors, BTR, Kytons Bakery Australia, Port Adelaide Football Club, Adelaide Strikers, Life Education, FruChocs, and Police Credit Union.
Thank you also to the Variety in Action committee for volunteering their time in organising these fantastic events, as well as students from Wilderness College and Variety volunteers who helped out on the day.
