Alongside me, on the Scooby team will be my father Tony and close friend, Andy. Andy and I have been good friends since we worked together in the Aged Care Royal Commission. Andy works in IT and now supports State Schools. He is also an Army reservist. He is one of the funniest people I have ever met and will make for a hilarious break-dancing Scooby in the below mascot outfit. We also have a back-up Velma costume for him (whether he likes it or not!). Andy has two gorgeous children that can’t wait to be involved.
My father Tony acquired meningitis as a new-born, at which time he spent three months in hospital and almost didn’t survive. Since then, he has battled severe Epilepsy black outs. A few years ago, following a series of bad seizures, he lost his licence and was forced to close down his business. Two years ago he underwent a serious brain operation which took a long time to recover from. Things are finally looking up and he hasn’t had a seizure since the operation. Tony now wants to use his spare time to support kids in need, with similar stories. He enjoys playing guitar, fishing and the outdoors.
We have just sourced our Scooby-mobile to be – a VR Commodore Wagon, which we will paint to look like the Mystery Machine.
