Variety 2017 Annual Themed Ball: Boots & Bling – a Western Fling
Yeeha! Variety’s Boots and Bling – a Western Fling, the sixteenth annual themed ball held at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Friday 16th June, was quite the hoedown. With 650 golden horseshoes to bring everyone luck and the 12m long saloon bar, quenching the thirst of the 2,200 cowboys, cowgirls and trail bosses, for y’all who attended.
It was ”grab your pard’ner” and line up on the dance floor with a full entertainment schedule. Highlights included Turning back time with the Ultimate Cher show before Audiobox took to the stage with an unbeatable performance, featuring Sarah Lloyd, Craig Holden and Rennie Mazzone’s band that ensured the night kept up it’s reputation as one of the biggest and best parties in town.
This event would not be possible without the enormous support we receive from the Adelaide Convention Centre, the major sponsor of this event since 2002. A special thanks goes to the committee and sponsors Tim Adams Wines, Ramsey Brothers, Blackbocks, The Reef House and Fotobase and our other generous supporters on the night.
As we heard from Variety grant recipient Thomas and his brothers Will and Ollie on the night, the support from everyone in attendance is truly life changing for the children Variety support and we thank you for being part of this.
