Featured Grant: Kyra
Kyra is a sweet and happy 8-year-old girl who lives with her parents and ten-year-old brother. Kyra was born with Angelman Syndrome which effects one in 15,000. Conditions Kyra lives with include Global Developmental Delay, Hyperkinetic movements and Epilepsy. These conditions mean that she is not independently mobile and requires a wheelchair. Variety SA was able to donate a wheelchair accessible vehicle which ensured that Kyra is safe and comfortable in a car that is built for her needs. Her mum says that this new van has helped them to operate better as a family and they are currently planning their first family holiday.
