Variety SA Featured Grant - Hayley
Hayley is 18 years old, living with Tetraplegia after suffering from a swimming pool accident as a child. Art classes assist Hayley with her dexterity and help her work towards her goal to become an Interior Designer. Hayley is also a talented table tennis player representing South Australia on numerous occasions. Playing sport helps her to build her confidence and strengthen the muscles in her arms, improving her life in a number of areas. Her goal is to make the 2020 Japan Para Olympic Team. Variety has supported Hayley over a number of years through the Variety Heart Scholarship program, providing financial support to purchase equipment and tuition her family otherwise would struggle to pay for.
