We ensure children have the best opportunity to live life to the fullest, regardless of ability or background. The work we do gives children the opportunity to improve mobility, gain freedom and get involved in their community, where they can better communicate, achieve independence and increase their self-esteem.

Grants
INDIVIDUALS AND ORGANISATIONS
We provide funding for a range of items that provide practical support to kids (0-18 years). Included, but not restricted to medical and mobility supplies & equipment, technology, therapy, medical assessments, educational resources, sensory equipment and wigs.
Scholarships
We provide individual scholarships to support kids (8-17 years) with an existing talent to reach their full potential. These include funding for the areas of sports, art or education to assist with coaching, equipment and resources, fees, uniforms etc.
Kids’ Experiences
SCHOOLS AND ORGANISATIONS
We manage experiences and events to engage and bring joy to school kids in need. These include Variety SA Zoo Picnics, Kids Xmas Party, Sport and Movie Days. Schools and organisations will need to register.

A free disability awareness program catering to school students in fun and interactive workshops.
Educating students from years 1 to 8 to develop understanding, acceptance and inclusion of people with a disability, learning that people with a disability really are JUST LIKE YOU! The program addresses both visible and hidden disabilities, ensuring that students grasp the full spectrum of diversity and embrace inclusivity.
Meet Laila
Laila is a determined and resilient six-year-old girl who after a brain injury at birth now lives with bilateral cerebral palsy, developmental delay and speech difficulties. Laila has just returned from undergoing Selective Dorsal Rhizhotomy (SDR) in the US, which will permanently reduce the spasticity in her legs. Variety granted a dual zone swim spa to provide essential hydrotherapy to assist with her rehabilitation from surgery, to gain strength and increase range of movement. The therapy will assist her future development, particularly to achieve her goal of walking unaided, increase her gross motor skills and her confidence. Her Mum says that water is her best friend, and she can’t wipe the smile off her face when she is in the spa.
