Quiet Achiever Award Nomination

This award is aimed at recognising those who are worthy of being considered a “Quiet Achiever” for the Variety family, those who undertake to uphold the objectives of Variety with a minimum of fuss or concern about themselves. It considers all aspects of Variety’s operations and all who support its activities.

  • Award Criteria

  • Variety, the Children’s Charity – Northern Territory The Quiet Achievers Award. Spirit of the Award: Variety is blessed with history and people who make a commitment based upon their desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children. Many have contributed by raising substantial funds, providing expertise, services or resources to support the activities of Variety NT.
  • This award is aimed at recognising those who are worthy of being considered a “Quiet Achiever” for the Variety family, those who undertake to uphold the objectives of Variety with a minimum of fuss or concern about themselves. It considers all aspects of Variety’s operations and all who support its activities.
  • Criteria: • To be based on the Activities, Actions and Support provided and Participation by the nominee with respect to fundraising, events and /or Appeals • The general attitude, willingness, modesty and reliability of the nominee will be taken into consideration along with their general demeanour.
  • Exclusions: • Current Board Members, major sponsors and employees shall not be eligible for this award.
  • Nomination and Selection: • Official nomination form to be obtained from the Variety Office at least 30 days prior to Annual General Meeting • To be nominated and signed by 2 members and supported by a critique of the nominee addressing the above criteria and in line with the spirit of the award. • Nominations to be submitted at least 30 days prior to the Annual General Meetings. • The award is to be decided by a majority vote of the Committee. (It should be noted that the award is not necessarily given each year, being dependent on the suitability of the nominees.) • Nominees do not need to be members of Variety, The Children’s Charity – Northern Territory Incorporated.
  • Presentation: • The award is to be presented at the Annual General Meeting.
  • Award: • To be a perpetual trophy to be held at the Variety NT office with a replica given to the recipient and recognition received at the AGM, in local media and in the Variety NT newsletter.
