The creation of an inclusive playspace at Cootamundra’s Albert Park has officially begun.
The in-person consultations will be at Town Hall, 81 Wallendoon St Cootamundra on Wednesday 23 September at 7pm and Thursday 24 September at 9.30am.
The inclusive playspace will be designed to meet best practice principles regarding inclusive play and plan for associated infrastructure such as path connections and accessible toilets.
Through clever design and engineering, the new facility will give people of all abilities a fun and challenging place to play side-by-side.
Variety is working closely with Cootamundra-Gundagai Regional Council to ensure that the needs of the local community are met.

A Variety Livvi’s Place is an inclusive playspace for kids of all ages and all abilities to play side by side. Variety works with local communities to make inclusive playspaces a reality.
Features of the new playspace
It is anticipated that the creation of this playspace will provide an inclusive recreational space for a range of ages, abilities and skills, attract families to congregate in the area, provide a safe and accessible venue for community activities.
Progress: Currently open for community consultation. Residents are invited to talk to key stakeholders on the below dates:
- Wednesday 23 September at 7 pm at Town Hall
- Thursday 24 September at 9.30 am at Town Hall
This will be an opportunity for residents to share their ideas on what is needed to make this new playspace fun, accessible and inclusive for the community.
