Variety NSW/ACT CEO David Sexton, Chairman John Dennis and Board Member Jack Cannons have just returned from the annual Variety World Conference in Quebec, bringing with them a swag of awards.
Variety was recognised with a Grant Program Award in recognition of granting $4m last year to help kids in need, as well as the Mort Sunshine Award (Online) for digital innovation for a redesign of the Variety website. The redesign makes it much easier for families to find the information they need and apply for support from Variety.
Our mates at Brydens Lawyers received the Corporate Award for their sponsorship of the Variety B to B Bash, pro-bono legal work including the conveyancing for the Variety Freedom Houses. Brydens have also partnered with Variety to present a new series of Variety Community Connects events, providing legal advice to families with children who have a disability or chronic illness on how to secure their future.
The Media Award went to Nine Entertainment for their amazing support of Variety over the past two years, which has included the promotion of our Bash events, National media partnership of the Variety Kids Xmas parties, money-can-buy prizes to support our fundraising activities, as well as providing talent for a number of Variety events.
A huge thanks to everyone who helped make these awards possible, including Variety’s partners, supporters, event participants, volunteers, board and staff. It’s only because of you that Variety can give so many kids in need a fair go.
