Variety NSW Bash 2021 – Day 1

May 16, 2021 by nswadmin

Newcastle turned on a glorious morning for us to leave and head off on the Variety 2021 NSW Bash! 18 months of fundraising and hard work to get themselves and their cars ready lead to this moment and you could tell just how ready everyone was to get on the road.

With a long day of driving ahead of us 103 cars left Newcastle Foreshore and made their way to Quirindi Public School. There we were treated to one of the best steak sandwiches ever!  It was so great to be back at a school stop, granting the school some much needed play equipment though a few were disappointed there weren’t more kids at school (clearly forgetting it was Sunday).

After lunch and what we’d all really been waiting for was here – dirt roads, causeways and some good driving. The mobile workshops had a busy day but come dinnertime spirits were high and it was clear it was going to be another incredible week of driving.

Want to contribute to the Bash?

If you have a mate on the Bash and you haven’t yet had a chance to donate its not too late, just head over to the website here  or you can pop into your local Woolworths across NSW and ACT and make a donation (round-up at the self serve or ask a staff member)!
