Agustina
I am from Argentina. In August 2023, I moved to Italy and began a journey that continues to shape my life today. A month later, in September 2023, my sister called me with news that changed everything: my mom had been diagnosed with skin cancer. It was a very difficult moment for our family. Thankfully, over time her health improved, and today she is doing well. That experience made me reflect deeply on life and on how important it is to support others during difficult times. Since then, I have tried to get more involved and give back whenever I can. In Argentina, I volunteered with the “Sonrisas del Corazón” Foundation, visiting hospitals during Christmas and Three Kings’ Day to bring gifts and smiles to children with cancer. You can see a little bit of that experience here: https://www.instagram.com/p/DEGTvziSdnu/ I also decided to grow my hair so I could donate it. Today I took another small step and donated plasma at the Chatswood Centre. It may seem like a small act, but it means a lot to me. I feel grateful and truly happy to be able to help, even in a small way.
