5 Minutes in the back of the Hearse…

Tell us about your Bash Car (make, model, year, features) and how you came to have it?

I have a 1985 Ford Ltd Hearse which I  purchased from Peter ( Dodgy) Duffy who was retiring so after buying it and doing last years bash as an official I have made Dodgy a deal I’ll buy it you must navigate it . So I have transformed it with quite a few accessories 😇

Tell us about your team members

Well Dodgy is a senior basher and seasoned campaigner and I need his guidance as I am a Virgin basher this year as all virgins I need some protection against some of the more experienced basher.
Ian is a virgin basher as well a member of the local community and involved with peters partner Valda in the local Dragon boat club.

Tell us about your first Bash. What year was it? Where did it go to? How did you come across it and decide to join?

2017 was my first Bash going from Mataranka to Katherine (Variety of Rivers), I was an Official and got into through Dodgy.  After that, I just had to join the fun and became a Basher. 2020 will be Dodgy’s 20th NT Bash as well, so lots to celebrate… Lionel is so excited he’s jumped out of his skin.

How many NT Bashes have you and your team mates each completed?
I’ve done 4, Russell has done 1 and Bodie is a Virgin!
How did you pick your team name and theme?

I bought the old 666 Hearse off Dodgy after the 2017 Bash, and the Halloween theme seemed appropriate for the kids to relate to on the Bash.

Are there any sponsors you’d like to thank?

I would like to thank Whyalla and Barossa valley Toyota and all my other sponsors for getting on board for this very important cause.
