Back by popular demand, it’s the Pink Ladies!  Originally from the Alice, Janet is returning for her 15th Bash in 2025 and bringing with her the ultimate party girl, Joey Shinnick!

Tell us about your Bash Car & how you came to have it?

Holden 1965 HD Team of girls who participated in Breast cancer gold day in Alice Springs decided to join Variety. Car was purchased in Alice Springs and had previously participated in Variety bashes an interstate car.

Tell us about your team members

Originally 4 members- Heather Cornford, Sandy Bernard, Flo Edwards and Janet Sexton for 1 year then Flo and Janet for years to follow. 2020 will be Janet, Joey & Anne.

Tell us about your first Bash. What year was it? Where did it go to? How did you come across it and decide to join?

2008 Darwin to Diamonds. 4 Alice girls decided to join as we had provided a lunch previously for an interstate bash that came through Alice.

How many NT Bashes have you and your team mates each completed?

Janet this year is 13yrs and this will be Tanya’s first Bash!

What do you love about the Variety NT Bash, what makes you keep returning?

Raising money for our specials needs children. Janet worked at Acacia Hill Special needs school in Alice for 3 yrs. Love the bashes catching up with other bashers. The journeys we have travelling to all parts of Australia. Meeting new people visiting remote schools and the list goes on..

How did you pick your team name and theme?

Our team originally was pink for Breast Cancer Golf Day. Our number plate is ‘ABREAST’
