I was inspired by the idea that something I grow so easily could be a life-changing gift for a child in need. Instead of cutting it off and throwing it away, I wanted my 13 inches to go toward helping a young person feel beautiful and resilient while they fight their health battles. I am especially moved by the resilience of children facing hair loss from cancer or other illnesses, and I’m honored to support Variety’s mission in helping them feel whole again.
