Whenever I met people, they often complimented me on how shiny, beautiful and healthy my hair looked. This made me feel that my hair could have a more meaningful purpose than simply being cut off and thrown away. So, I decided to grow my hair long so that one day I could donate it to help people who have lost their hair due to illness. Knowing that something as simple as my hair could bring comfort, confidence and hope to someone else inspired me to finally make the donation. I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to turn something I have been fortunate enough to have into something meaningful for another person. On the day I finally decided to cut my hair, I was lucky enough to meet a kind and caring hairdresser, Leo, at Voir Hair. He patiently helped me divide my hair into small ponytails, carefully cut it, and gave me a beautiful new hairstyle. He was also very generous and didn’t charge me a high price because he knew I was donating my hair to help others. He took the time to do everything carefully and made the whole experience even more special. Meeting Leo felt like another piece of good luck in my hair donation journey. I hope that the kindness and good fortune I experienced can be passed on to people who are going through illness and have lost their hair. If my hair can bring even a little comfort, confidence and hope to someone, then I will feel that growing and donating it was truly worthwhile.
