I’ve had long hair since, forever! I have only ever trimmed my hair, and haven’t even cut much off. As I’ve gotten older, my hair has grown so long, below my hips! And so I decided I wanted to cut it. I’ve read and seen a lot about kids just like me who face scary, uncertain battles, and I feel so lucky to be happy and healthy. I thought it would be really nice to help someone that isn’t as lucky as I am, by cutting my hair a little bit shorter, and donating it. By donating my hair I hope to help someone facing a hard time, to bring some joy and confidence back into their life. It doesn’t matter if my hair is shorter, it matters that I can give a gift of lush hair to someone who doesn’t have what I have, which will make a huge difference to their life. To think of a wig made from my hair, being used by someone with a huge smile on their face, makes me feel so fortunate. This makes me feel really happy and proud and I’m so glad I got to do it.
